Musings of a bicultural child

I always wanted to be a writer, but I don’t really have the gift, so I will try my hand at blogging instead. My mind is a chaotic place, filled with thoughts and ideas that chase each other constantly. There’s never a dull moment in here! I hope that someone somewhere will read this blog and find a kindred spirit.

I am Friday’s child, born on a winter’s day in Bexley, south east London. It was a foggy day, so foggy that my grandmother got lost on her way to the hospital. I’m named after her.

By the time I was five, I had already moved 4 times, living in 4 different towns and 2 different countries – what a start! But I was not to learn about my bicultural heritage until much later. Until then, I was just a little English girl with a long unpronounceable surname.
